Community Media Forum Europe Newsletter October 2016
Welcome to the October 2016 issue of the CMFE newsletter! Since our last newsletter, a lot has happened – and we are looking forward to an even busier autumn! Apart from new books, conference participation and lobbying efforts in Brussels and Strasbourg, we are particularly looking forward to our General Assembly in Halle at the end of the month. We are looking forward to seeing many of you there!

Another important aspect is of course sustainability: We will be invoicing soon and by taking two annual membership fees at the same time the CMFE makes some administrative savings. This is why we are offering a discount on paying two years together (2016 / 2017).  However, we do run the organisation on a tight budget and we would ask that those that feel that they can afford to pay the standard rate (without the discount) to please do so.  The additional funding will really help us with our work. Please be aware of the new account number and bank details on your invoice!

The CMFE was founded to strengthen the participation of the “Third Media Sector” in European discussion and decision-making processes at a moment when freedom of expression and free access to information are increasingly endangered by the consequences of concentration in the media field.
